Got a new (used) table saw On Craig's List a few weeks ago for $60 has a Nice big table and extenders. We cleaned up the table of surfaced rust polished and sealed. It needed a handle for the blade tilt (0-90*). So we made one

Used a old pulley, 2 nuts, 4 washers, carriage bolt and a scrape 2x 2 all which I had laying around taking up space in the garage
Drilled and taped a the outer edge of the pulley.
turned and board a handle out of a scrape 2x 2 on the Lathe (that was fun)

here the it is on the saw

got to love AC for the garage

Good looking job, could not tell from picture that it was not a manufacturer original. Glad you are able to enjoy the use of the garage with some A/C, need to get one for my garage too.

Hey, I checked it is not even a month yet since you had your knee surgery, unless your real name is Clark Kent, then you would not have needed the surgery in the first place. Take it easy you do not need to be back under the knife again so soon.

'Afternoon Bret and everyone.. Property management duties in store for today (decks, gutters, garage roof, a bit of electrical), so I'm taking a short break. If I get'er done quick, might even run the trimmer.

Bret, I'm glad you're teaching the heir about fixing what's broken and not throwing away perfectly good items. Rare attitude on our continent, but it should be encouraged even if it's against secretary Hu Jintao's interests

Hey grupps. Hope youve been busy. This week alone I had fun. Got to drop in a rooftop, and work on a 30 ton chiller. It was a big @$$ Trane unit. SO big I got to walk inside and wash the coils. Found 4 leaks in the thing- 2 in the coil, 1 schrader, and 1 lose pressure control.

And now even on this long weekend I have to rebuild my window shaker (aka girlfriend temperature control system) I guess the designers thought it was a good idea to not put any drain holes in the unit-instead design it so that water builds up around the bottom pass of the condenser and subcools. Good idea except this morning I woke up to the unit blowing a mist of water out of the supply. Take it apart and the hot, humid weather weve been having mixed with crap in the air caused the bottom to fill up with brown algae and black mold. So I spent 2 hours stripping it all down and washing it out and now am air drying it.

And I decided to bypass the engineers intent of having a subcooling section and drilled a few good sized holes in the low spot and around the condenser on the base of the unit so it just drains.

I have half the mind to call the manufacturer and ask them if it needs water to condense, why didnt they just put a tube and tube condenser on it. LOL

Then again...they might not even know English.
