Not to be a smart but, where do you put them?
Lower compartment it will get sucked into the blower.
On top or beside the unit, it gets lost or chewed up by critters.
Give it to the customer/HO lost for sure....

Looks like emergency heat! Light up the manual and you have yourself a wood burner!

    Dual fuel setup...

Someone I think on this forum fabricates a manual holder out of scrap duct. They attach it to the return and attach a company label on it. They also make heavy duty ziplock type bags that have grommets that would work same way.

    Found one.

I like that idea, but will HO leave it alone?

    Silly boys, it's not a service manual, it's grandpa's December 1957 Playboy.
The picture in my avatar is of the Houston Ship Channel and was taken from my backyard. I like to sit outside and slap mosquitos while watching countless supertankers, barges and cargo ships of every shape and size carry all sorts of deadly toxins to and fro. It's really beautiful at times.....just don't eat the three eyed fish....

In our chiller they accidentally left the IOM, etc, in the door. Problem was they missed the top latch (on purpose, you can't reach it without a ladder otherwise). A rain storm later and the baggy was a "marinade of knowledge" that used to be paper.

Those earlier Lennox GCS16 units really don't give you many places to stuff a manual. At least they are shipping them in a zip lock bags on the newer models. Just gotta make sure the previous tech zips that bag up, or you have gone from a crispy crittered manual to a black molded hunk of moosh. At least on that model Lennox it has a closed burner (barrel) chamber, unlike other models you have ribbon or inshot burners with the possibility of roll-out and igniting the manuals.

I've found that old wiring insulation makes lovely kindling for those tough to start furnace fires.
