Lift
It's a little pricey, anyone use this for getting compressors or equipment on a roof?

The link did not work to what tool. My not-so-pricey solution to the compressor to the roof was to buy a 1/2 ton chain hoist with a 30 foot lift chain. I will put a 8-foot tripod ladder over the roof hatch, and attach the hoist to that. Then hoist it up......

Hmmm, I click on the link and it works.

We ave a few of them we use to lift duct work and small units. I really don't see how you can use it to lift items on a roof unless you have a roof hatch. Then as soon as you remove the load the platform fully extends and fast.

Ok, scratch that idea. I didn't know it would extend when you took the load off of it. Thanks for the info.

We have a Genie Lift. It works great They are pricey Brand new. I bought mine from a Rental place and it came cert That it was 100% and in proper working condition. Mine has two blades on it like a fork lift. I use it to hang unit heaters with mostly. I have also used it to get condensors on the roof as well as big heavy compressor. Mine does not go up when the load is taken of. You crank it up and down. It is a great Tool to have.

This!
For compressors, and smaller units, most sign companies can do the job for a lot less than a crane company will charge, and can get into tighter areas.

IMO those are only good for ductwork and heat pumps etc

Agree. Local crane for me is $150. Easy to put into the bid.
