They had four safety limits starting with the B-Series machines. The last two were eliminated when the Q-Series came out (or was it the J?).

That was the high discharge temperature safety limit. It might have been intended as a loss of charge safety, but I don't recall now exactly.

BTW...I've never seen a machine with a safety limit #4, and rarely one with a #3. I think that's why they dropped them.

3 was low discharge temp. You can put in a 50K resistor and forget about the thermistor altogether. This is as per factory.

Yes...that resistor will stop either a #3 or a #4. I had forgotten about that one.

#1 60 min freeze 6 consecutive cycles
#2 Max Harvest 3.5 mins 500 cycles (this was like 3 cycles on older models) 7 min on quad evaps
#3 Water system this is only on new S models
#3 was low discharge on some older models

here is a zinger to throw you off...a SL3 on a quadziller water cooled is a Low Pressure fault.

I did know that but I have yet to see a quadzilla I've seen lots 1800lb Scotsmans but mostly work on IB's on dispensers

Yeah there is not too many Quadzillas out there, espically water cooled, mainly huge places like Casinos that have them hooked to the cooling tower. Some big restaurants have the CVD version of the Quadzilla now.
