    Installed Under A Home

A tech had to crawl thru a 13" hole to get under this mobile home in order to service.

What'd they do...lower the trailer onto it with a crane?
(The wise men of modern thought) adore a god made of putty or of wax - plastic, effeminate, molluscous, with no masculine faculty about him, and no quality that entitles him to the respect of just and honest men, for a being who cannot be angry at wrongdoing is destitute of one of the essential virtues, and a moral Ruler who is not angry with the wicked, and who refuses to punish crime, is not divine. ---Spurgeon

Is that a side discharge and they 90'd out and up?
Where is the condenser discharge air going?

Looks to me like a package unit. No? or is it just a condenser for a split system?

    Cool

OSHA confined space. Technically, would need to pull a permit to work in there and have a written extrication plan if the tech got injured/ incapacitated. I would also insist my guys wear a 4 gas personal alarm: CO, LEL, O2, H2S

Hello everyone, I am the one that took the picture. This is a heat pump package unit under a mobile home. The box on the right side of the unit is the temperature sensor for the defrost. They pretty much built a deck frame under the mobile home for the home to sit on. But how they got the unit in there is beyond me. The condenser discharge: On the side of the house, there is a large 4' square hole with a screen, and a curved piece of plywood inside to direct the air out the side of the home. Inside the home there is a closet that has a big box where this discharge is. I have no idea WTF they were thinking, except they wanted to hide the POS unit they had installed.

Was this just a maintenance call? What was your first thought when you saw it? Lol.

My first thought upon seeing that, would be; you're going to have to get that

thing out of there before I do anything!

Hey! At least it does have a hole for discharge, unlike one I found a few years back -a Goodman package a/c in a basement. installer(yea right) said it would be OK as long as he left the basement window open.

Theft resistant stealth package unit installation.
    Requires a PITA surcharge.
That condenser fan motor will be real fun to replace.

This just means the truck it 'fell off of' is stored near by, so they HAD to hide it.
