No doubt the pressure switch is acting erractically and is needing to be replaced. But need to first focus on why closing pressure is reading so low. Flue piping, pull inducer is there restrictions, heat exchanger, etc. Not worth while replacing the pressure switch when there is possibly other under lying issues that lead to the premature failure of the internal contacts of the switch.
Then again, those POS pressure switches Coleman/Trane/York use from Costa Rica are crap, when it comes to the internal contacts gumming up.

very similar to this. Hook your manometer up to the port where the tubing connects to the collector box and turn the just blower on. See if you get a reading. If so, your heat exchanger is cracked.
Just for the record, trying to read something in all caps is very difficult for some people (me). We are here to try to help one another in this very difficult trade. The more information we have and can understand, the more help will be given by all. And please don't call people names.

Sounds good gregp. Realized today from tech support that there is another pressure port hidden in behind pressure switch. Differential pressure of neg. 1.55" is what its looking for. Since that second hose that was in behind switch was still attached, it was at the greatest vacuum point of heat exchanger which kept switch closed and thru me for a loop since i didnt see tubing and port to tell me it was a differential switch. Anyways going tonight to see if that section of tubong has a restriction in it or if there actually is a crack.
About Mr.Timebuilder, i took the way he delivered his comment as a rude, caulky, smart ass comment and i gave him what he deserved. If he were more diplomatic as you were, he wouldnt have painted that image of himself.

We get a lot of that here.
We try to help guys with that aspect of the business because so many work in residential, where the ability to communicate in writing on an estimate or an invoice can affect whether they get repeat business from that homeowner.
I love spell check, but I have to read what it does closely, because it will suggest just about anything.
Just in the past few days, a guy was trying to write "assembly," and spell check corrected it to read "Assyrian." Kinda funny to read that he had installed a new "Assyrian" to fix a blower problem.

Time Builder and City Hvac, boy has this site changed. I've been a member almost 7yrs and dont remember attitudes like this. Skipping the real roots and getting ready for retirement eh, no more patience that sucks! I have 25 more years to hit 65 and i hope i wont even be 1/2 the men you guys seem to be. I've been around the block a few times boys, was just looking to see if you knew the answer for the pressure switch question being neg. 1.55" that thankfully a tech support guy was able to furnish. Oh ya you guys dont believe in tech support.

Frostybeer, there was a restriction in the port on the cold manifold that i didnt notice because the tubing that was visible was black and the tubing in behind was white so my eye subconciously overlooked it. It created enough of a negative to close switch, but when the black tubing was hooked up to switch for the differential, it opened switch. cleared white tubing and away she went.

7 years....92 posts...such an opportunity to learn about the trade and about those in it.
I think you still have enough time to get it together. Then again, some guys just carry around a lot of anger and try to wash it down with a two-four of Labatt's. I don't know you, but as a guy who has spent a fair amount of time north of the St Lawrence, I can tell you that I have seen it before.
I believe in tech support. I believe they are often under-trained and inexperienced, and it is rare that I have to call them about a problem for which myself and my friends (including those here) can't find the answer. In point of fact, I have seen Lennox tech support recommend L-series boards when the board was not bad, hence my mentioning that dynamic in view of the post from guy who worked for his school district in Texas. It's a shame when a customer pays hundreds when a tech support associate is wrong.

I'm suggesting that those with only a few posts should become more involved with helping others and themselves with greater participation.
I can think of guys with 30 years in their job who aren't worth a tinker's damn. I'm sure you can, too.
If you have experience to share and can do it in a way that brings honor to the trade, then I encourage you to do so.
