    Air Washer installation ?

    where is the proper location to install air washer in existing heat/cooling duct system?

    The ones I've seen have been located before the blower and in cases where there is a return fan before the supply fan the air washer was between the two.
    Placing the air washer in the fan discharge will blow water off the media.
    Tracers work both ways.

    I guess it depends on how big the air washer is. I have worked on some with 100hp vanaial fans and 1 1 million btu of steam heat. The air washer was between the fan suction and reheat coils.
