i will look into this and will correct my comments it that is the case.

either way a servie co should be able to match something up for humidy control with out over cooling the house

pstu seems i misinformed you about the vision pro sorry
    may is correct
i got one out of my truck i picked up today as stock and it does not control the blower. it will bring the ac on to three degrees below set point in an atemp to lower the humidity
there are no ds terminal on the stat for the v drive blower control
i should have looked at the stat instead of going by the counter guys word
i will have fun with the counter guy tomorro

    No foul, and thanks

Thanks Mayguy and Tinknocker, for bringing out the corrected story so quickly. So I had only about one hour of thinking that I *must* get that VisionPro. Maybe I still will but with less over-the-top enthusiasm.

Would it make sense then, to put a humidistat *and* a VisionPro together in the system? If it is a 2-stage AC, with perhaps a relay so that the humidistat sends its signal only in low-stage cooling? That would seem to dedicate high stage cooling more for sensible, and let latent do whatever it will. Eventually I am tempted to do just that.

In the end, I still am admiring of the Honeywell VisionPro styling. I admire most of its functions, but if some other brand has an equivalent or better design, I would consider it too.

    Best wishes -- Pstu

Thanks TinKnocker, I will ask him. This is something I have wanted for over a year, I am sure to say yes to something they offer!

If not VisionPro, then maybe Totaline 1400?

It seems to me the Totaline top-of-the-line touch screen thermostat can work with a VS blower to adjust CFM in response to humidity:

There are a couple features which "wow" me that the Honeywell does not have. No doubt there is something inferior about the Totaline, but my hot button is mainly on VS fan control. I just wonder if any of the pros see anything with this stat that is a big negative. I'm nearly ready to write a check on this project.
