We have installed bolth Amana and York/ Luxaire products..... I would put the Amana in my house.
Which is better a York Modulating furnace or the Ammana Modulating Furnace. I was told that the York furnace is really modulating because of all the modulating stages it has? Does the Ammana furnace have the same ammount of stages? The quote prices are about the same and warranty is close any suggestions would be appreciated?
Thanks

Last I checked, the York I believe drops to 35% capacity while the Amana/Goodman drops to only about 40%.
But the Amana equipment should be just a little cheaper, so I'd ask some more question s about the installation. Someone is either making a little more profit or cutting out something.
Did either company do a load calculation? Or are they both quoting a 60k BTU furnace (the smallest modulatin furnace you can get anyway). If larger, they need to back-up the sizing, even if the existing unit is the same size.
Amana has the complete unit replacement if heat exchanger fails to original owner. Don't think York has that warranty. I'd also get the 10yr. labor warranty included in quote.

You never said where you are located. Why are you looking at modulating. ??
