Migraines
Had a doozy of one yesterday. Still feeling the effects of it today. Tried to take a couple of BC's when i felt it coming on but i think it made it worse. Now my wife is wanting me to go see all kinds of docs to get them looked at. Well, i have been there and done that with the docs and its all the same....."here are some samples. use them when you are getting your migraine and see what works" Guess what doc.... none of them work.
the best thing for me to do when i get one is to lay in a dark room and rest. But it is hard to do when you gotta work. Do anyone on here have them and what kind of response do you get from your fellow employees/ employer and what do you do to take the pain off so you can continue working?
thanks a bunch!!

I've been getting them for about 8yrs.
When it comes to work...although its impossible to think, and damn near impossible to be productive, Ive always had to tough it out. I get nauseated along with them, and have puked at quite a few jobsites because of it.
Employers generally don't understand, neither do fellow employees. I've tried just about everything for them. Although it doesn't work all that great, or all the time, Excedrine Migraine works better for me than anything else.

I have been having these types of headaches since i was 6 years old. I can still remember the first one i had. I have also tried to stay on jobsites and work threw it. The worst was in the ARMY and out in the field.... nothing you could do but deal with it. I would mope around like a zombie.
I have tried every medicine known to man. Excedrin migraine worked great at first, but after a while, it was like my body got use to it. Same with all the other medicines out there. I keep BC's with me for the stress headaches and such but it doesnt do much good against the pain of the migraines I get!!!

I used to be like the previous posters, Excedrin Migraine works every time for me as long as I take it quick enough. If I wait too long, nothing works, but haven't had that for several years now. I keep a bottle at the office, in the car, at home etc.
Works everytime.
I noticed I am more likely to get one if I don't get enough sleep and especially if I don't get enough sleep AND don't eat. I don't know why.
