Anyone got a reliable recipe? My daughter wants to make some po' folk play dough. Lots of recipes on the Internet, but just wondering if any of you have a reliable recipe.

we used to dig it out of the creek.
but that stuff would harden after a day or two.

and make indian beads and stuff with it.
we'd a prolly ate play-doe if we had any.

No creeks at the current homestead.
I'll have to remember that when we move this summer. Nice little creek at the bottom of the hill on the new property.Merry Christmas

Kool-Aid Play dough
2.5 C of Flour
1 C of Sugar
2 pkgs of unsweetened Kool-Aid
3 tsp Veg. Oil
3 C water
Directions:
In bowl, combine together all dry ingredients. In saucepan bring 2 C water to a boil. Turn off. Then add oil to water. Pour oil and water mixture into bowl, blend and knead.
---Lasts months if put in airtight container.
How's that?

it takes some searching to find any.sometimes it will be exposed on creek bottoms when they dry up in summer.

02-25-2006, 08:44 PM #8It shouldn't take much searching. We only had about a foot of top soil before hitting clay when they dug the foundation. Clay should be plentiful in the creek bottom.Originally posted by jacob perkins

The 5 y/o and Mommy saw a recipe on Sprout while I was sleeping this morning. So, your recipe will be the next one. I didn't care much for the one they used today. No oil -- sticky.
