Rigging
Does anyone have a generic rigging plan that they use on government base work in regard to chiller teardown/replacement. I have to submit one to the Navy and have never written one, therefore I am an ignaramus and need some guidance. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ask them what they want.
Have seen one "rigging plan" by Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard-- when they overhauled a YORK centrifugal compressor/motor on a submarine.
It had the maximum weight that they were moving.
Tonnage rating for each hoist being used.
Every location (on the "ceiling") that they were hooking up the hoist.
The path that the weight was being moved.
They ended up welding a few extra plates to beef up the structural steel.
If you are using your own A-Frame-- give them its dimensions and the size of its steel.

Thanks Mike. I've performed several overhauls but never had to write one of these.
