    Police: Vandal Trapped By Tombstone
    40 Headstones Damaged In Cemetery

    POSTED: 8:16 am CST February 22, 2006

ROODHOUSE, Ill. -- Police in the central Illinois town of Roodhouse said a teen became pinned under a tombstone after tipping it over during a vandalism spree at a local cemetery.

Authorities said it took four firefighters to lift a 600-pound gravestone off the 16-year-old boy's leg early Tuesday after he helped knock over that headstone and dozens others.

The boy is recovering from undisclosed injuries at a hospital.

Police Chief Steve Speeks said the boy will be questioned.

I know he will rat out his friends and I hope they all get a lesson in respect. Perhaps the parents should also be looked at, I mean where do kids learn to be such losers???

I would have left the head stone on him until he told me all he knew.

His parents will sue the cemetary for not postings signs prohibiting knocking tombstones over, they will sue the family of the deceased for having an unsecured tombstone and they will sue the monument company for not including safety barriers with the tombstone. They will probably sue the rescurers as well for laughing at their dumbass*d son because they have bruised his self-esteem.

All other animals , when they detect something mentally or physicaly wrong with their young, will eat them at birth. To bad mad doesn't do the same thing.

That was my first thought, too.

That little f*cker would've ratted out stuff the others hadn't even thought of yet.

Make him and his parents wear the orange jumpsuits for 90 days. Without accountability nothing changes.

Pics would be fun and then everyone intown would know who he is. They all probably know by now anyway. I hope he gets to do lots of community service for this prank. Maybe it will teach him some respect for his community. Sad to see a young person going bad so soon in life.

Would have been hard not to pick that stone up about 2-3 inches off his leg and "slip", letting it fall back on him... a couple times....
