Please Help!!!!

I am a very green HVAC technician. I recently graduated from a trade school, and now am out in the work place. We learned a whole lot in a book, but really did not get much hands on training. We learnt next to nothing about boilers, only book education on oil, very little trouble shooting on heat pumps. I am looking for some videos that may be able to help walk me through these things. Can anyone recommend where to go to get such videos, or where to buy such videos. Thanks a million.

There is an expansive educational forums on this site, you just need 14 more posts to get access to it. There is a bunch of stuff on youtube, you just gotta sift through it. You should go to the new members introduce yourself section, it's at the very top of the main page, and do it.

I have found the best way to learn is start doing maintenance , lot of companies hire green horns to perform maintenance .then check everything

Please be careful looking on you tube. A lot of diy and rank amateurs who mostly want to be seen or heard. Check the net, then run the authors credentials. I'm sure there are some excellent pros here who can affirm your choices.

Sounds like me when I graduated. Honestly, just get out there with a good company and you will learn ALOT. That to me is the best way to learn the "Hands on".

You need to get with a busy company and get some hands on.Its all that will really help. You have a great start but untill you are out actually putting your hands on it will you really begin to learn.BEWARE of you tube. While there is some good info there you can also find some way out hacks.Read Read Read! There is a wealth of knowlage at your fingertips on the internet.And also some very good books on the subject.This can help alot but nothing beats hands on so good luck. and one more thing,look into fieldpiece when you go to purchase your multimeter.I was a Fluke man however with my recent purchases of the fieldpiece SMAN3 digital manifold and assy. heads they are a great product and they have a product called the HVAC Guide that can walk you step by step through most of the important tests need on A/C's.It could be a tremendous help to new guy's and to help you establish a systematic approach to troubleshooting not to mention make it alot easier for even seasoned techs. to perform their job by preforming alot of the calculations for you.
