Light switches and Paper bags......
...are what makes ugly girls still desirable.

Green doesn't need either one.....

Am i the only one that finds something funny with thisOriginally posted by troyorr
My son bought a 100 year old house about 6 months ago. Every switch was like that. Still had some gas lights connected. Those got unhooked immediately. He wanted to maintain the charm so we replaced all of the switches with new ones from Restoration Hardware. Of course, we rewired the house too. Had to pull all of the knob and tube.

Funny as in how? I have an old (1929) house with mostly updated wiring, and newer switches. I too am going to rip these out and get the ones from Restoration Hardware. A little pricey if I remember...like $20 ea. Also ripping out the 1990's bathroom and going back to 1930's fixtures, wainscotting and tiles.
I wouldn't trade my old house for anything...unless it was a bigger, older house.

Whoops, now I understand; pulling the knob and tube. Heterosexuals would read that as an electrical expression.
Now I know where OR's mind centers.
