My contractor is proposing a high efficiency Heil propane furnace in my new home. I have been unable to find much info about this product and am concerned I may get a somewhat off brand, not well supported. Does anyone have anything encouraging to say about this name brand or have any words of wisdom. How does Heil compare to Bryant, Trane, Carrier or the other more familar brands.
    Thank you,
    Captainlou

Heil is on of the brands of International Comfort Products (ICP) from Lewisburg TN. They also make Comfortmaker, Tempstar, Arcoaire and Keeprite, among others. They are a division of United Technologies, which is the parent company that owns Carrier/Bryant.

You can search ICP's web site for more information on Heil, or Heil's website directly.

Heil is good equipment, I would just make sure they add the help warranty. That will also make sure its someone that is a true dealer, and gives you a lot better warranty also.

    Reply to Heil info respondents

    All,
Thanks for info. I will continue my research based on your responses. Additionally, I will try to get some feedback on the HVAC contractor that has been selected by my GC.
    Regards,
