To all the 787 guys out there-
I'm a green apprentice at a small shop in Eastern Ontario. I was wondering what companies you guys would recommend pursueing if I get laid off due to the slow season. Are all the 787 shops pretty decent? Do any have an outstanding reputation? I'm looking primarily in the Ottawa region.

Does anyone have any advice about how to get on at one of the big commercial/industrial shops? Things they look for, qualifications, etc?

Doesn't your company allow you to bank your hours? Some do.
Best bet is to talk with your local suppliers. They know the best and worst of the bunch.
