I have a standard heater/ac system with a 4 ton compressor. I think the coil can be used with a 4 or 5 ton compressor. It has two pipes for the compressed freon coming in and one pipe going out. The installer only connected one of the pipes going in and left the other one capped off. Is that a problem ?

Yes, You have no ac at present with just one line.

    But hold the phone...2 in...1 out...now I'm confused...is this a riddle...can you post a pic?

No, that is for service only. There are only two connections made at the coil.
