Technically, as far as the state is concerned, you do NOT need a state license to work on residential systems. You DO need a state license for any commercial work. Most cities around here require you to have a city license plus bonding/insurance before you do anything. Same for residential installs.

Anything from 1,2, or 3 family dwelling is residental.
over that you need a state license.

Although your county or city may require you to register with them. And if thats the case, you may need a license to get registerd.

And to be registerd you'll need Liability Insurance and maybe bonding.

Ask your city or county building regulation Dept.
If you try to fail, and succeed.
    Which have you done ?

I was reading your signiture line,
Why should the NFL be held to a higher standard then the government ?

They don't admit when they screw up.

The refs are people who have to make split decisions.
I sure wouldn't want that job.
