rheem inducer fan

Working on a rheem criterion rglh- 10eamer. Inducer fan motor was loose at the housing. I removed it from the furnace. Can someone tell me how the blower squirrel cage comes off the shaft. tried to turn what looks like the nut but it seems like its not wanting to come. All that is wrong is the screw is loose going to the motor but I have to get the fan off the shaft to get to it. Is it cw or ccw. the nut has four little nicks instead of flats.

thats an allen screw and you may have more of a job getting it off than you think.

Jeez, put a new inducer assembly on it!

no not an allen screw and it seems like a waste of money for one loose screw.

we are watching our pennies arent we. In this case too bad because moisture has takin its toll on the blower wheel and shaft.

If thats the plastic inducer housing it's probably cracked anyway so go ahead and have it replaced.

I dont understand nut nicks and flats.
replacing the blower would be the best Idea .
every Nut has a tool to remove it tho.
You need a nick tool.
maybe a service CO. that handles Rheem can help
