Great place for a table. I'd hate to have to change the blower on this unit. I already had to do the board, and with that leg there, it wasn't fun.

Yup...homeowner installed the table after the furnace was inspected. It's attached to the wall on the far side. I told them that if they ever need work on the blower, expect to find that leg smashed out of the way.

Whats up with that gas line? Is that a flex line being used as a dirt leg???

Looks like the condensate to me. Must be a coil up there.

Yup, that's flex. It's not used as a drip leg. They are not required out here. I've opened up drip legs from the early 1900's, and nothing at all was in them.

Is that how I would have done it? Nope, but it's still totally legal out here.

I would take a photo with a tme stamp and let the homeowner know that if there are any warranty issues with the unit and they are blocking acess to it that they will be billed the (EXTRA) labor that it will take to gain acess, due to it being a code issue as well and i hope it never has a flame rollout

Hope the home owner can get back there to change out the air filter.

Home owners will change air filters? I guess you learn something new every day!
