The general health of the nation depends on providing good health care, if we refuse to treat those that have a hard time paying we compromise our own health. So we are left with few options, stay with the current system and pay for the non-paying with higher rates or spread out the risk and have everyone pay their share.
    I was going along with you here Net, until it hit me...they aren't paying now what is going to force them to pay later???

    I will admit, your idea of deporting the Dems has some very good merit.

    There is something thats missed here, whenever any entity can profit from the misery of others, the question is, is it in there interest to relieve or eliminate such miseries. Since there are billions of dollars to be made off sicknes, where is the incentive to lessen such sickness ??

    Many claim that goverment should be the protector of such, well considering that there is no longer a distiction between goverment and corporations, there are one and the same, how does anyone expect change ?? You cant operate a free market economy, when such free market doesnt exist, anyone that thinks we have a free market is delusional.

    The problem of corporate control of our goverment has to end, if we want changes. Whenever SCOTUS ruled that corporations have the same rights as a person, they put a another nail in our collective coffin. The only way we have to at least make a dent, is to elect those who want to remove this goverment slavery from us, you all know who I think that is.

    Its your choice, and this next election will be a make or brake deal, cause if we get another corporate POTUS it will be all over, mark my word.

    The only thing left after that, is civil unrest or war.

    Sad thing is: It was under Reagan that hospitals were allowed to become national corporations. Before that... they were locally owned and run.

    Please post your results! I do not remember the date... either late in the first Reagan term... or early in the second Reagan term.

    What I do know is; Reagan did a lot of things which were NOT Constitutional in the sense some of us see the Constitution. Sad thing.

    Actually less than 20% of the hospitals in the US are for-profit. The majority are non-profit but that doesn't stop them from being greedy.

    Looks like supporters of Obamacare may not be able to keep making claims about Socialist health care in the UK;
    As Obama pushes new regulations, UK eyes privatizing its health care.

    That 50 mill is a laughable reach. Check your facts and numbers. Some CHOOSE not to buy insurance, some choose to buy cell phones and WII and Escalades and bass boats, but not insurance. Isn't America about choice, where are you pro-choice liberals now that we have no choice?

    Yeah, non-profit only means the Administrators and shell corporations and "certain" suppliers get their share berore the quarterly books are tallied!

    I would say it a little different:

    If Americans are too stupid to realize the dangers of Obamacare... they deserve the screwing they will get. Problem is; the dumb ones take the smart ones down with them.

    This in itself is a good reason for states' rights! If some folks want to live in a liberal society... let them (in their state). If, on the other hand, some folks want to live in a conservative society... they should have the freedom and right to do so in their state... WITHOUT the federal govt butting in.
