    AX alarms kicking my #@&!

Simple enough as I've done it plenty of times years back, but for some reason I can't get alarms to pass from a station to a web supervisor.

I have my alarm classes and station recipient set up and I'm passing alarms to the station console correctly, but they're not getting to the console on the supervisor. I know its a setup issue, but I can't seem to find what I'm missing.

    Any help would be appreciated....

You have to add a station recipient to the alarm services of your jace.
It took actually learning something to realize how much I had to learn.

I've done that and selected the web supervisor in the properties....

Linked my alarm class to the station recipient which is pointed at the web supervisor. Is there a step I missed on the web sup side?

I remember there was an issue with previous builds if you used a space in the name of the Alarm Class. Tricky, since "Default Alarm Class" appears to have spaces, but that's its displayName, the component itself is named defaultAlarmClass. EDIT: you also need matching alarm classes in both JACE and Supervisor

Also, double check the username and password for the station connection.

I should have opened my eyes about the station recp.

You also have to have you alarm classes setup identically in the jace and websup. If you included spaces in the names of the alarm classes they will not be the same on both ends as it will show the display name on the jace and will be the Name$20Name on the websup end. Easiest way around that is to use underscores or you will have to use the format something$20something or something to that effect. I don't believe the spaces is a game ender except the fact that all your alarms will end up in the default alarm class of the websup.

I've been using the default alarm class all along. I also created a seperate one just for testing purposes......same results, so I know its not a naming issue.

How about TimeSync? Would that cause them not to jive between each other?

It sounds like you have the alarms set up right. Do you have the server in the jace and the jace in the server??

Just a thought here, Its not a port being blocked by the operating system or some other internet security software is it?
