no not 40% of the companys earnings. just 40% of the service ticket. the service man is not the whole company. it would be a sub contractor relationship. the tech would supply a van and his needed tools to what is expected of him on service calls. he would also cover his own insurance and warranty calls. my oppinion is if hes good there wont be any warranty calls due to incompetince. of course there will always be some kind of warranty issue from time to time related to a faulty part or ?. jacob when can you start?

Is this van going to have the companies name on it? And is the Tech is going to use invoices under that same name?
I know this is a lot different, but I used to work for a camera repair company that did a 60/40 split on labor. The company made all the profits on parts & the technician made 40% of his billout labor. The difference was that the technician sat at a desk all day & was given cameras to repair. Seems like in the HVAC field theres a lot more expense with vans, gasoline, insurace, etc. But on the other hand, the labor on hvac is a lot more than there was on camera repair. So who knows.
