    Lennox furnace problem

I have a Lennox furnace with a surelight ignition board and when it tries to kick on the inducer will run for just a couple seconds and then shuts off. It doesnt run long enough for the pressure switch to close. The inducer spins freely and tests ok. Not sure if this is a board problem or not. Anyone got any suggestions?

Forgot to say that I am a tech thats been in the industry about a year and this is on MY furnace but ive never ran into the problem before

If the board is getting a call, and there is no voltage being sent from the board to the inducer, AND there are no error codes, I would say it's the board.
But there are still a few more things to check.

error codes- flashing green lights on the board?

if not and, as stated, call for heat then bad board.

what other troubleshooting have you done?

eliminated wiring and thermostat as cause, power, safeties, etc.?

I've had a number of problems with the Sure-Light boards. Your problem in particular. The board will send a signal to bring on the inducer, it runs for a few seconds, drops out and then flashes either "no flame sensed or pressure switch". The board is bad and does all sorts of random things that will drive you crazy. Of course I would check the pressure switch first to make sure that it's working properly. Most likely the control board took a dump

Have you verified that the board is dropping 120 volt supply? I saw a goodman once that would start the inducer and sometimes light and shut down the inducer on OL other times it wouldn't even light but the inducer was going out on OL. Turned out to be a weak overload in the motor.

The welds on the boards that hold theheat relay in play sometimescome lose may need to wiggle itaround to check
