    Here we have to drive a 10 ft ground rod on all new meter bases we install. I didn't see you mention that CN and just wondered if you do the same.

    Further to my post above, GROUNDING is crucial.

    Without GROUNDING:
    a. There may not be any problems at all as some houses go without grounding for yrs without problems.

    b. Or BIG time problem with wrong voltage and damage to equipment.

    Consider that it is cheap and easy, consider checking Grounding ALL THE TIME before starting any new electrical job.
