    any opions on TempStar residential furnaces?

    As with any brand of unit...

    If properly sized, installed and set-up to operate with-in the manufactures specifications... it will provide years of reliable service.

    The T8MPL050B12A is a current model.

    T = Tempstar
    8 = 80+%
    MP = Multi-Pos
    L = Low NoX
    050 = 50 K
    B = 15.5" W
    12 = 1200 CFM
    A = revision (B is last rev)

    Sorry, this has the new version of smart valve.
