Wow! I was just pointing out that I DID NOT give any instructions on how to make a repair any repair.

I did say that a TECHNICIAN might look at a specific part first and only (only) named the part (which part by the way is still named on this thread and not edited).
I did not indicate it was that part that had failed or how to check the part or how to replace the part. I clearly stated a professional contractor needed to check the problem out for proper diagnosis.
I was only pointing out that since I did not say how to check the part for failure or how to replace the part and only stated a technical might check that part out. That in my opinion did not violate the rule of giving step-by-step instructions in any way.

Second thing I want to clear up is the quote I was speaking of was from coolwhip, Here is the quote:

In fact he repeated the quote, which in reading the rules is defiantly could be considered a (and I quote from the rules here) smart-ass remark. If anything in this thread violated the rules that did.

If a moderator thinks I have violated the rules, I am not going to get rude about it or want to continue on arguing the point. Other than what I thought was a polite response to the editing of my post, I did not post anymore and let the matter drop. Now I see several more posts beating me up some more on a post, which in my opinion should not have been edited in the first place.

Thus I am responding one more time, and trying not to be rude or a pain in doing so, I will post no more in the thread no matter what is said to me or about me in it. This post is clear and should clear up any misunderstandings made in my follow up post and is the end as far as I am concerned, since I do not want to become a nuisance to any of the moderators and I hope the one last follow up post does not qualify as such.

I have several posts in different threads all polite and none causing any problems (read them if you wish). My intention is to continue on being polite and friendly in every way possible.
I feel that everyone has a right to try and clear up any misunderstandings and as long as they are polite about it, should not be banned for it.

If my previous post on this thread upset anyone I apologize for it and if this post upsets anyone I am sorry and apologize for it as well.

Can I get a list of all your customers so that I may call them and tell them what might be wrong with their furnace before you go and fix it? NO you say? I thought not. You need to think a little bit before you go spouting off. Some of us do still try and make a living in this trade. In the future, diagnostics and parts can be discussed in the technical section. All good things!

Dont be sorry, just think before you leap. When you offer technical information, you just might be taking food out of ones mouth...including yours.

This matter has been reviewed and is not up for discussion.

Beings the OP has received his advice, this thread is now closed.
