These can fire from 625000btu up to 1,125,000 btus and deliver domestic water as well. We also installed tekmar controls.
The old boiler we replaced burned approx 1200 gal./month in the summer!
These have been averaging between 500+600 gal./month this Winter! They are installed in a church where my daughters day care is and I check on them each morning to admire the work and monitor the oil consumption and run times. The way I figure it with oil prices the way they are these boilers will pay for the installation in less than 2 years.

    WOW......

We haven't really put in or worked on an EK-3 yet.

Does that single manager control all 3 boilers? Or are they controlled by the tekmars?

I assume it must be a big church having 3 EK-3s. How many zones? I am curious how you did the zoning. Did you have to add an extra manager or did you use regular zone valves?

The single manager is only for the boiler that controls the domestic hot water. The tekmar controlls boiler sequencing and because they are piped as an injection loop/primary loop system the circs continue until the heat is extracted from the boilers. We dropped 3 separate stainless liners down the chimney and fabricated a single stainless cap for the top. The zoning is done with the pumps. We re-used the old manifold but replaced the pumps and flow controlls. They want us to re-do the starters, clocks, and relays, but they work fine for now.
