Thread: Hill Multideck dairy case

    I have an older Hill multi deck dairy case that needs a ne w condensing unit. Model number is 5LM8R It is 8 ft long and has been eating comressors (too big) need to know btu requirement for this 8 ft case for 35 degree product temp.
    Any one have enginering data for a case that old?

    Hill 5LM8R...........

    The data I have from 1984 has it at 10,760 BTUH at +15ºF evaporator temperature for a conventional single unit application with a suggested compressor selection suction temp at +12ºF for 32ºF discharge air temperature.

    This case was originally intended for deli duty (or packaged/smoked meats) and has the higher front than the sister 5D dairy case whose load is slightly greater.

    thanks Icemiester thats exactly the info I was looking for.

    It is used for cheese and eggs, and other stuff.
