just getting into light commercial work and ran into lock out switchs and random start switches on mammoth water source heat pumps in building. after studing schematics i figured out the lock out switch, but dont understand what the random start switch is for or how it works.

is there a web sight for mammoth that i can get installer manuals for these systems and how does a random start switch operate?

Norman S. Wright is the west coast and western area sales rep for them, also Mammoth would help you out with literature requests, and tech support.

I think the random-start relay is to allow staggered starts on a heatpump building controlled by a BAS (ddc),also acts as a anti-cycle timer for compressor protection.
