Why not? My little Elvira just paid at least $50 dollars in a roll of stamps. I think we should pay our bills on line. Hell it's free. Roy

How convenient do you think it will be when you are the subject of identity theft and you have to spend years trying to straighten it all out? Some never do.
I think I will pay the few bucks a month in stamps. Saving a few pennies is not worth risking having your credit ruined.

for the last 3-4 years I've been paying most of my bills on line using my checking account, few month back someone got a hold of my numbers and took it all, I found out right away, called the bank while the sob was taking my cents, they traced them down to that craphole of mississippi and from there I dont know what happened. It took the bank a few days to have my account credited,I was not liable for anything, in my opinion on line banking is great.

I'm content to use the tradional way. My wife cuts all the checks & takes care of all the bills. I like how it all flows through our accounting program. And when its all said & done the postage we use for bills is less than $10 a month. Not significant at all.

It's usually pretty safe.
Watch out for people like our power company, though. They charge a 37¢ "convenience fee" for online payments.

I'm waiting to hear from those folk who tried on-line bill-paying, didn't like it and went back to the Good Ol' Days.

My pay check
Comes in on line. Ralph, that convenience charge is B.S. The US postal service has done their job. Now can we let a private contractor see if he can do any better. ?? Roy

Best thing since sliced bread IMO, I can view/pay all of my bills in my underwear, and at midnight. I trust online encryption more than I do my postal service, who "mis-placed" the deed to my property. Took me a couple of days for them to locate it. And anyone who handles the check you wrote has your account numbers,as they're on them.
If everything was always done "by the book"....the book would never change.

I haven't been brave enough yet to try online bill paying, but I did sign up for automatic bank draft payments for my monthly utility bills. They still send me a paper copy of the bill, but on the due date, its automatically drafted from my bank. It saves me three stamps a month, and seems somewhat safer to me, since the Internet is not involved. I used to try to pay some local bills in person, but the price of gasoline is worse than the price of postage. However, if I'm going to be the area anyway, I'll try to remember to just bring along the payment and hand it to them in person.

Roy, mine is hand-delivered. Then I have to go take it to the bank.

It's the best thing to happen since Toilet papper, I have been a do-in it for years. I am to poor for ID theft.
If common sense is so common how come so few of us have it!

Best is automatic withdrawl... not too much that can get screwed up (but I'm sure it still does). No hassle needed at all from you
#2 would be paying online (which I don't do)
#3 would be the old fashioned way.
