Advice on two quotes (Rheem vs Lennox)
I am replacing two ac/furnace systems and got two quotes:
2 Furnace model#RGPS-07EAMER (70K BTU)
Ac model#13aJM36A01 (3ton 13sheer)
Ac model#13AJM30A01 (2.5ton 13sheer)
Coil model# RCFL_HM3617CC
--Lennox (both 2.5ton 13.5sheer AC)
HTG BTU / CLG BTU /SEER/ AFUE / AC / FURNACE / COIL
1 45,000 / 30,000 /13.5 / 80% / 13ACX-030/ ML180UH045P36A /CX34-38A
2 70,000 / 30,000 /13.5 / 80% / 13ACX-030 / ML180UH070P36A / CX34-38A
Which systems are better? Is Lennox worth the price difference? Thank you very much for your advice.

I would also recommend a Rheem RGPS-05EAUER instead of the 07 for the smaller of the two systems. This will save very little money but will be more properly sized(just a rough guess here based on rough information)
Personally I have had a MUCH better experience with Rheem/Ruud(same brand) than Lennox but thats just my company.
both are builder grade with the least amount of warranty I would ask about some mid grade equipment with a better warranty. also before putting 5.5 or 6.0 tons of ac in a home I would want to know if it needs that much . did they perform a load calculation
What is your location?
Both quotes offer low end 80% eff PSC sgl stg furnaces and basic 13 SEER AC condensers.
The Rheem quote offers two 70 KBTU furnace mdls; the Lennox quote offers one 70 and one 45 BTU furnace mdl. Rheem 5 1/2 tons of cooling; Lennox 5 tons of cooling.
Not certain what you are looking for. You might compare warranties.
Thanks for your advice
Both companies came to my house and did some load calculation, but offered very different results. My house is about 3000sqrt feet, (1600 on 2nd and 1460 on 1st floor).
I am on budget and did specifically asked for quotes on base system. Do you think it is worth the extra $$ for a system upgrade? I am in Georgia. Thanks again.
What size furnaces and AC are you replacing?
Any issues with either heating or cooling?
Where are current furnaces located?
How long do you plan on being in home?
I am moving to this new house. Both systems are of 18+ years old. I believe it has 2.5/3 tons, not sure about the furnace. I will probably live in the house for a long time. Really appreciate your guys' help and advice.
