Trane Intellipack question
I have 3 I-packs in a bldg. that I just recently took over. A 20,30 and 40 ton. m/n sxhfc.... Installed in 98". I'm getting faults of o/a sensor fail and evap temp sense fail. Where are these sensors located in the unit. I'm reading the manuals as we speak and can't find anything. Tia Fitz

O/A should be at the opposite corner of the unit from the Control Panel. That is if you are looking at the Control Panel, it would be to the left on the backside of the unit.
Evap Temp Sensor is in the Blower section, just after the Coil.
That is if my memory serves me right.

OA sensor is behind the mist eliminators / louvers at the back of the rtu in the outside air intake section. Evap sensor should be mounted to the suction line in the location sgraefe said.

Since these are older units, the evap temp sensor is located on the suction line in a well. The new 410a Intellipaks have an additional sensor on the distributor tubing for saturated evaporator temperature.
