On one of the other threads, one of our esteemed (Steamed!?) members let off a shot about pictures of downed hunted animals.

I have no qualms or direspect for those that oppose hunting or killing animals or humans. I have killed and felt the remorse at watching a life disappear and I have killed more often and accepted the fact that I am a carnivore and will probably remain a carnivore for the balance of my life.

Those that have chosen to be strict vegetarians are to be commended and will probably continue to live longer and healthier lifestyles than most carnivore humans.

But if you buy your meat in shrink wrapped packages that most processed meat comes in, an animal was killed to provide that for you. You may not think the shrink wrapped animal was as cute or deserving of life as the animals I used to hunt, but it was still a life. You may rush to Mcee D's without a thought to the millions of animals processed to feed people like you and consider yourself superior because you "tsk tsk" those "cruel" hunters that knowingly kill and process what they eat and feed their families.

You "superior" types would probably eat human fetuses if they were packaged in shrink wrap, so you don't impress me at all.

Like the plane crash soccer player survivors in Peru so many years ago, my advantage is, that in a survival situation, if you die before I do, I will have something to eat, if I die first, you won't.

I really have a problem with anal retentive hypocrites!

I hunt occasionally, I have no problem with killing an animal if your going to eat it, I dont think killing just for the sport of it is right though, just my opinion

Also I am offended by your swamp water comment

Talking Aw Shucks, I thought I was being easy on the Bambi syndrome types.

    Swampfox:

I am deeply sorry for any offense the swamp water comment caused to upset you. It's just that Lusker would kill the whole thread if I wrote what I really wanted to say.

So you see, in the end, no matter which end it is taken, the swamp water thing is more likely to cause flushing at the bottom end instead of a flushed face.

I like "Bambi" and if they allowed hunting her in Wisconsin, I bet she would taste really nice and tender.

Surely you are not saying that because I prefer to hunt at the grocery store with cash as my choice of weapon that I am Hypocritical,

Because I just don't know or believe that anyone needs to hunt for food in this day and age. I mean c'mon do you really hunt for food ?

That is the lamest thing I have ever heard of, there is no need to hunt them down and mercilessly kill them to fulfill some selfish need of your own ego,

They are at the slaughter house, and they are born and bred to be there.Try hunting there next time maybe you will have better luck on your survival trip,

By the way, how did you happen upon a survival journey, I mean what do you do? Pull your SUV off to the side of a mountainess road, grab your gun and say OK watch me survive!!!,

(and if I don't I got gas and money in the truck)

Yeah that's a real test, huh what a joke dude, that trade is no longer a skill that is needed in society, it is about as useful as setting type in a printing press.

I like stake and ribs...but like titleless I prefer to hunt at the grocery store or resturant....I dont see a point in the "canned hunts"....Deer in a fenced in area...Yuppie puppy the hunter is "guided" out to heated deer stand...automatic feederes kick on at set time..deer or hogs show up like factory works...yuppie puppie makes a 25yard shot with his/her super duper I read Soldier of Fortun magazine "sniper" rifle....guide takes care of the deer while yuppie puppy goes back to star bucks and brags.

I got a brother in law that goes on these hunts every year....its like hunting in a petting zoo ...TO ME.

You go out do the whole scouting thing...dont leave wounded animal....and dont just shot the animal (other than pest like rats..perrie dogs stuff like that) for fun then I got no problems with it.

Than Said I am on PETA's mailing list ..only because I love their Naked Women in cages protest pictures they send me....something about a firm body women naked...painted up like a tiger....sitting in a cage that makes me think bad bad things I think they have a sign near the ladie(S)...but I keep forgetting to read it...I think it says "doglips I want to fetch u beer and be your love slave"...but wifee poo swears its a protest aginst wearing fur and anamiles being in cages.....I have to rember to read it one day

I don't have a problem with hunters. I have a problem with the droves of human garbage a state will give a license to that call themselves hunters just because they can muster up $30.

Nice concept. A bunch of blood thirsty and often drunk psycho drop outs , G.E.D's and Accountants in the woods on the weekends with guns.

Hey you might be on to something here, let's get all the survivor types together on one big farm or hunting grounds whatever you call em, and let them hunt each other, then when the last one is standing he can truthfully answer that he is a good hunter and can survive in the wilderness, now thats a hunter I can respect,I can not respect a guy who goes out and hunts a helpless animal that can't shoot back, hell any twit can do that, and many do, and many of them think that it is some type of " Art of survival" and that they have mastered the art.

This exercise would also help clean out the gene pool,

Hunters for the hungry give meat to the poor, what has PETA done for society?

Humans are pretty much the only predator for deer. Predators help balance populations. In areas against hunting there is a higher incidence of deer related car crashes.
Its also rather cruel to prevent hunting (under local government restrictions) to cull overpopulation, so deer can die of starvation in the winter.

Some like wild deer, fish, squirrel and turkey, etc. I've known some that will eat store meat but are too sophisticated for "wild" meat. I've seen cows close up, and the (even dead) deer look more appetizing.

A lot of the car wrecks are because they have to run out of the area they are in because the hunters are trying to kill them,
