Compressor ?
worked on a OLD Payne condensing unit . fixed couple burnt wires . notice the
suction line goes on top of the compressor .Never seen a compressor like that . unit has no data plate . anybody know what kind of compressor is it ? And the unit still working fine .

it slowed down a lot but as long as I have been doing this trade is you plan for the slow down... lol... Have fun and Be Safe

Believe that is a SJ model compressor if I remember right. Junk!!!

When they first came out Carrier had a high failure rate. Notice you don't see them in any newer equipment. That is not to say all of them were bad but they did have a high rate of failure and they were replaced with a different compressor
