    to amp or not to amp

    on heating elements or just loads in general,,, whats the theory is it more resistance more amp draw or the other way around ? im thinking the more current /electrons traveling through the wire/cunductor/element, the more amp draw.

    Just think about it in terms of Ohm's Law:

    E = I x R

    Where:
    E = Voltage
    I = Current
    R = Resistance


    If you rearrange the equation to solve for Current, it would look like this:

    I = E / R

    So you can see from this that if the voltage is constant, a higher resistance will result in a lower current.
