These old carrier air conditioners. Im not sure I remember how to "decode" them. Can someone refresh my memory? Where can I get a book to look up old model numbers for all major makes?

Big, tall round. If I recall right, round down. The 005 is a 4 ton, the 004 is a 3 ton.

Couldnt find that number in my Carrier Blue book either. Found 38UE but not VE. But the sizes mentioned above are good.

I remember the VE. One of the old rounds, all aluminum plate fin coil. Their highest SEER way back when. Some stood nearly 5' tall!!!

Thanks for the help guys. They are the old, tall, round ones. We always called them silos because they are so tall.
Im going to run a load on the house before I give them an estimate. I wanted to see what the difference from my load calc. to what is in there.
