I'm considering having these units installed in my 1700 square foot condo.
I currently have an Ultra V Tech 80 upflow furnace and live in Chicago. I plan on living here for 1-2 years before I buy a house.
I am looking for a humidfier that actually works. I've had 3 others installed in the past (in different condos) and they never worked. I'm curious as to the general reputation of the Aprilaire 700 and if there is a potentially better choice I can ask about.
My 2 year old daughter cannot clear toxins from her system and her immune system is weak. My furnace closet is very small, which presents a challenge in fitting in an electronic air filter (we can just barely squeeze in a 16" wide model). Do the Honeywell F300E1019 electronic air cleaner and the Sanuvox R1700G UV purification light have decent reputations? Is there an alternative that I should be asking about?
Thank you very much for your help! I appreciate it!

p.s. My condo is a very long, rectangular unit, with one room after the other. My ceilings are high, my vents are in the ceiling, the returns are at the ceiling and two of my bedrooms are over the carport -- which means it can be 72 degrees on the bed and 50 degrees on the floor (I'm not kidding. It sucks and I'm also looking into some sealing). This is probably more info than you need, but I'm adding it just in case.
