    Suzuki M/C

    Can anything even come close?

The best overall lineup on the planet.

    Longevity.

    Value.

    Performance.

    Styling.

    Durability.

    Reliability.

    Heritage.

    Racing.

Their passion for the trade is un-matched.

Harley-Davidson and the American vee-twin is overated.

Especially these tv customs. Completely un-rideable.

Antiquated design with low efficiency and performance.

If H-D was half as good as American auto-makers they might have a chance at global M/C superiority.

H-D does put in good metals , but with a price.

Suzuki is the mom n pop that puts their eggs in the M/C basket.

Unlike Honda who will produce anything without soul to increase their international power.

Who would like to chat about the M/C leader??

Sure tell Suzuki they owe my $7000 for buying a 2008 B-King GSX1300BK near retail MSRP,
and after 9000 miles and approx. 18 months it would not run. sure six months later there came out with there Regulator /rectifier recall.

How about the half a year it sat in my garage on-op, but I did take an $2700 drop off NADA to unload it for a 2007 FXDL

More of a Yamaha fan. Next new bike will be a FZ1. If I was still a kid, I'd want a GSXR1000

Roadracing.... Hayes just won the ama superbike on an R1 WITHOUT traction control and its been quite awhile since suzuki has seen a podium in Motogp.

First bike I creamed my jeans over was an 86 gsxr. Man how I wanted one.

So we do have some Zuk fans in here.

All the big 4 Japanese are obviously great.

But what I love about Suzuki is their M/C heart and soul.

The other makers , well , make all kinda ****.

Throughout time in M/C racing , Suzuki has been a leader without question.

Cant speak for newer dirt machines , but street bikes....

The 1300 four is one amazing powerplant to say the least.

Fz1 is nice but too peaky with tall gearing.

Check out the Bandit 1250 if you want comfort and unreal torque.

Not so fast. Suzuki also builds: cars, atvs, outboards, wheelchairs and industrial equipment.

I think there are a few brands that are much more dedicated to two wheels than Suzuki.

Whatever you think of Harley, you have to admit they pretty much build nothing but motorcycles.

KTM isn't far off the mark as the vast majority of their sales are motorcycles with a few atvs thrown in. While they don't sell cruisers or scooters you can get one of these. http://www.ktm.com/us/superbike/1190-rc8-r-track.html

I don't think you can argue against BMW's commitment to motorcycles. With their recent acquisition of Husqvarna they now have the offroad market covered as well.

I cruise. My 24 year old BMW K bike with 130,000 miles on it starts right up, purrs like a kitten, and is a joy to ride, although I'm going to have to upgrade the seat to handle my fat *ss a little better...

Good points about Harley and BMW.

I really like all bikes , but was mainly speaking of the big 4 from Japan.

Meaning Yamaha does musical instruments , Kawi does heavy industry , Honda does , everything.

Suzuki is the smallest from Japan and I believe their M/C's are the crown jewel of the company.

Suzuki powerplants have a legendary reputation , some of the most venerable and durable and powerfull :

    650cc 90 degree sporting twin

1300 inline four , ruler of all motorcycle engines , when you look at proven efficiency , durability and performance and flexibility

1100 and 1200 air cooled inline four (old gsxr and bandit)

the 650 four stroke one lunger is a beast

Zuk is the chevy small block of the M/C world for me.

Hey Airesearch, I have the 650cc 90 Vee twin. I love ths bike. It runs flawlessly, never misses a beat. Great for light touring and commuting. Otherwise know as the V-Strom. I also had the 1 liter model too. Little too much power for me for everyday use on secondary roads but on the Interstates, it smoked HD's and could hang with the sport bikes.
