Latched fault means the front panels are not latched closed properly . Latch them closed . Latched fault solved

Hey prestonegreen. Graham's just kidding around with you (I think). The term "latched" is just Trane's way of saying "manual reset required". Depending on the control panel on that chiller, there should be more information displayed that will lead to what particular fault has shut it down. Something like "Press 'next' for more information".

Or sending the Navy Midshipmen (on their senior year Fleet Cruise) after the "water hammer", or to get "50 feet of chow line"... Sorry, Graham. Didn't mean to spoil your fun. I guess I was just thinking of my younger years when I would find myself on the other side of such...fun.

Aside from a foreigner having fun at your expense ( graham ), you need to read the posting rules, preston. If you want answers, this needs to go in the chiller "open" forum (not here, where the heading says "do not ask questions here"). You also need to post the pertinent fault and operating info from the chiller. Otherwise, it's the same as if someone came up to you and said "My air conditioner's broke - how do I fix it?". Leaves a lot to guesswork, wouldn't you say?

There's also the Fallopian tubing that comes in handy for some emergency repairs. Sometimes.
