Wouldn't get your hopes up about warranty, and those assemblies aren't cheap. The motor is bad. The issue began about 5 years ago. Most have been replaced but I recently ran across one that someone apparently has been unplugging every summer and plugging back in during the winter for the last 5 years.

Just replaced one today ,there also is a addditional relay and wiring that the trane dealer will charge to prevent motor from shorting again.

They were covering the repairs for awhile, but I believe that time has long passed.

If you don't fix it your gonna run the risk of the transformer shorting out and burning the control wiring. Unplug it until you get it repaired.
