Let me guess the black flap was missing ??? thats its sunscreen to stop the hazing/oxidation . Your dynaview is toast , buy a new one and build a sheet metal hood to protect it from the UV of the sun .
    No parts available .

no parts avail. buy new dynaview.

Save a report of the chiller 1st, you will loose comp. start and run hours, and may need some imortant setpoints. bigest pain is rebinding all the sensors.
It's hard to stop a Trane. but I have made one helluva living keeping them going.

As everyone else said, DynaView is toast. No parts available. Make sure you get a new black sunscreen flap part #dor02240.

Your going to need to write down all the setpoints before you replace the dynaview as TechView won't save a full report. You won't have to rebind the sensors as the nodes are saved in the LLID's.

not disagreeing, but everyone I have ever done, I have had to rebind the chiller. might be something I do wrong.

Depending on which hemisphere you live in you may need the special order east west screwdriver not the north south screwdriver ???

Trane makes a nice weatherproof cover panel for those dynaview displays that doubles as a laptop stand when you're working with Techview.

Part number is CBT1625. Look into it, it is a worthy investment.

Dilp172, I don"t know how familiar you are with this control, but did you try adjusting the contrast level of the display? Don't laugh, I've been on two trouble calls where that was the "fix". And if this suggestion is insulting to you, no offense intended.

I've been to about 10 service calls where they state the display is either blank or black and it was just the contrast settings. I just got a warranty call last week from a CONTRACTOR for a blank display and I asked him if he checked the contrast and he said yes. I even walked him through it on the phone and explained to push the lower left and right hand corner of the screen. I went out there (with a new DynaView) and guess what.......the contrast was turned all the way down! By the way, it ended up being a billable call.
