    I have a 5 ton bryant h/p that ices up quickly, the office mananger says it gets thick, everything charge , defrost etc. fine but embedded pine neeedles in coil, cant spray down with water to get some out, its 28deg. and 4" of snow, needles frozen in between about 40% of coil, any suggestions?

    Yes flip it over to emergency heat untill after all the snow
    stop falling.Then go out and hose all the ice and snow off and return to normal heat mode.

    I new that was coming, thats what I was going to do, but its going to stay cold her for along time and being an office/dancing hall, all the outside water for sprinklers and spickets are off and drain, they willl love this winters bill, be cheaper to replace than 4 months electric bills.

    Good reason to have pre-season checkout, Couldn't you fire up the aux and for the a/c to melt the coil?
