Trane Xl13 issues
i have a 9 year old xl13 trane heat pump, was working fine up until about 3 months ago, started off with honeywell pro 8000 thermostat burning up, then the defrost board fried, traced all wiring and varified correct wiring, replace defrost board under warranty and installed new pro 8000 thermostat, fired it up today and both suction and gas lines on unit are hot and pressures were in the 500 plus range and idea what the heack is going on??
thanks in advance

Sounds like it's in heat mode and the indoor blower is not running. R22 system?

I know what it is from here. Think about it. Pretty easy.
And turn off the breaker til you figure it out.

Ok, apprentice. Answer this question for yourself, don't post it here.
What component might be having a problem if the compressor can run without a call from the low voltage?
What other parts must run when the compressor runs?
That should get you started.

Not unless the contactor is closed, like I said earlier you need to call someone.
