    RTU insulation

I have multiple Carrier RTU's I maintain and the insulation is coming off the inside doors and panels throughout the machines. I can re-insulate these panels, but I was wondering if this was common with Carrier.

Most definitely it is common with Carrier RTU's from what I've seen.

Stick pins and spray glue. Common problem.

Something that I like to do is ask the installers to hand over their leftover “gum tape” , and I use it to apply it around the perimeter of each of the panels that I always see falling off. If you clean the surface good enough, the gum tape seems to hang on a lot longer than the spray glue I used to us.

This is a common problem with not only Carrier, but Trane and York as well. A lot of the problem is when someone opens a panel with the blower running, this will pull the insulation off.
