TEV Equilizer tube size
I was purchasing a replacement TEV for a 2.5 ton heat pump and the old equalizer was 1/4" and the new one was small 1/8" I believe. I stubbed it down in the old 1/4" tube and crimped it nice and pretty and brazed them up. The unit runs fine, so does equalizer tube size really matter at all?

as hj says will be ok , there is no flow trough the eqauliser tube , just a balancing presure exerted on the diaphram , and have seen them and fitted them in smaller size than 1/4,

cool I haven't noticed any difference in the way it runs , so I was figuring the size didn't matter. Thanks for the input .
