    carrier heat pump

    hey everone


    i have been working on this carrier unit for some time .....its not cooling of course....its a 50hjq016 we have replace comp # two last month its works fine .....comp number 2 is the one giving us trouble....i replace the two check valves on the evap side of it and i have high super heat and high sub cooling .....unit is only giving out a 10 deg delta t .....need help

    high subcooling means overcharge, that with high superheat means restriction.
    check your txv and driers.

    did the drier when i opened the system and weighed in the charge......i was thinking i have a restriction in the evap coil???????

    Easiest way to find a restriction in the eval is to kill the I.F.M. and run the compressor. If the eval is restricted you wont get uniform icing on the distributors
