Thread: air handler

    Question

    I have a Miller 2 ton ac.Braker has gone out for air handler,Braker dosent have an amp rating on it.By it being a ac (heat strips) not a heatpump. Is a 30 amp breaker right? Thanks Walkingtall55

    Sir,
    The breaker is sized according to the wire/load it is protecting. Beings it's a a/c, it should be a hvac rated breaker(time delay action). Call a electrician to put one in for you.By the way, do you know why it went out? You might have a HVAC problem....and need a service call.
    If everything was always done "by the book"....the book would never change.
