Irene worse than Isabel ? http://www.wxrisk.com/
I did Isabel in the banks and I can't even imagine worse...
This could be really bad

Joe Bastardi said it could be the worst NE hurricane since the 50's. He's usually pretty good.
Looks like it will be at high tide in the banks to make matters even worse when it hits....
Hopefully after Isabel less will stay behind, although the fishing the day before was out of this world
Anyone reading this that is from that area, leave now !
Spaghetti models are starting to come very close together now and they aren't moving any further offshore like they've been all week. Looks like my post above was wishfull thinking. 5PM update spells out a very scary scenario. If the storm is on that exact track the western eyewall will go right up the beach from Cape Point to Rodanthe before the land turbs northwestward toward the VA border. With 115+ MPH winds that means the entire Southern OBX is NOT a safe place to be. God's Speed to those who are planning to ride it out.
Isabell was a walk in the park, I built a new house since then with Hurricanes in mind, structured far better than standard 135mph wind code. Let her blow.
If we have a direct hit the OBX could change forever, looking for a new Inlet, as Oregon Inlet is closing up faster then they can pump it out.
Luckily I live 6 miles off the Island and on Higher ground.
I planned for a good Hurricane 2 weeks ago, been waiting since.
It's hard to stop a Trane. but I have made one helluva living keeping them going.
